Drilling additive CSW-1 is a small molecular weight quaternary ammonium organic salt. It is used as a mud shale inhibitor in drilling fluids. It has a good effect in inhibiting the dispersion of clay minerals in the formation, preventing the expansion of highly water-sensitive mud shale in the formation, stabilizing the well wall during the drilling process, assisting in cleaning the solid content in the drilling fluid, improving the mineralization of the drilling fluid, and improving the resistance of the drilling fluid to salt and calcium leaching. The effect is obvious when drilling into large sections of mudstone and high-salt formations.
Technical indicators
Outside Appearance: white or light yellow crystal
PH value: 6.0±1.0
Cation degree: ≥5.0mmol/g
Effective substance content: ≥90.0%
Usage
CSW-1 is usually added in an amount of 0.3-0.6%, made into a liquid, and added slowly in liquid form. In the initial stage of addition, the performance of drilling fluid will increase in viscosity and filter loss, which indicates that the content of dispersible clay minerals in the drilling fluid is higher than 5%. The bentonite content in the drilling fluid should be reduced first, and then gradually increase the amount of CSW-1 to the usual dosage. This is because the viscosity of the drilling fluid will gradually decrease as the amount of drilling fluid increases, and the fluid loss will stabilize at a certain level.
CSW-1 can also be used as a shale or sandstone stabilizer in oil production operations.
Packaging
CSW-1 uses high-strength film bags and three-in-one packaging bags, 25±0.5 kg.
